Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray and parchment paper.
  2. Melt unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of table salt in a separate bowl.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooled browned butter with 1 cup of light brown sugar, then beat in 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and the zest of one orange.
  5. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, then add in 1 cup of dried cranberries and ½ cup of chopped white chocolate.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top, then bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing together 8 oz of cream cheese, 2 cups of confectioners' sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons of orange juice until fluffy.
