  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning use a premium brand
  • 10 oz Diced Tomatoes and Green Chiles canned, undrained
For the Cheese Mixture
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese preferably aged
  • 8 oz Ranch Dressing try spicy ranch for variation
For the Shells
  • 5 packs of 15-count Frozen Phyllo Tart Shells alternative: mini pie crusts or wonton wrappers

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the Oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, until browned.
  3. Incorporate the Taco Seasoning into the beef and add the diced tomatoes and green chiles. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Cheese Mixture by combining the cheddar cheese and ranch dressing in a large bowl.
  5. Assemble the Taco Ranch Bites by filling each phyllo tart shell with the taco mixture.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted. Adjust baking time for frozen shells.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
