  • 1 pound Whole Carrots Choose medium to larger-sized carrots for even cooking.
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste, especially if bacon is salty.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Can substitute with cayenne for extra heat.
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or BBQ Dry Rub BBQ rub elevates the dish further with spices.
For the Glaze
  • 1/3 cup Hot Honey If unavailable, mix honey with a dash of hot sauce.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and peel the whole carrots.
  2. Wrap each carrot tightly with a slice of bacon and secure with toothpicks if needed. Season each carrot with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika or BBQ rub.
  3. Place the carrots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender and bacon is crispy.
  4. Remove from oven and brush warm hot honey over each carrot. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle with parsley and candied pecans if desired. Serve hot.
