Equipment

  • large skillet
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Start by removing the shells and deveining the shrimp if necessary, then rinse them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Marinate the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and paprika for about 30 minutes.
  2. While the shrimp is marinating, mince the garlic and chop fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in batches and sauté for about 2 minutes on each side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic, sautéing for around 30 seconds until fragrant. Add red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
  5. Reduce heat to low, add cold butter and lemon juice. Stir until the butter melts and creates a creamy sauce. Toss cooked shrimp back in, coating them thoroughly and heat through for about 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped herbs. Serve hot alongside crusty bread, pasta, or salad.
