Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces Chicken Breasts Fresh and firm chicken
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Can substitute with fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground
  • 2 pieces Eggs Beaten for coating
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Gluten-free panko optional
  • 1 cup Oil Vegetable or canola oil for frying
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Gochujang Adjust to heat preference
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by slicing the chicken breasts in half horizontally. Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a shallow dish.
  2. Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs for coating the chicken.
Bread Chicken
  1. Coat each piece of chicken in the seasoned flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, letting excess drip off.
  2. Press into the panko breadcrumbs for an even coating.
Fry Chicken
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully add chicken pieces and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Make Sauce
  1. Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, honey, gochujang, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
Serve
  1. Drizzle sauce over chicken or serve on the side. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions.
  2. Enjoy with steamed rice or a light Asian salad.
