For Wrapping and Frying
  • 20 pieces Dumpling Wrappers Choose square or round.
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil Any neutral oil for frying.

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, chopped scallions, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated and let sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Take one dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center. Wet the edges with water and fold the wrapper over the filling, pressing edges together tightly. Repeat until all filling is used.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with enough vegetable oil to coat the bottom. Once shimmering, place the dumplings in the skillet in a single layer and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Once golden, use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with chopped scallions or chili flakes.
