Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Partially cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Trim and wash the green beans, then blanch in boiling water with baking soda for 3 minutes.
  4. Transfer the blanched beans to an ice bath to stop cooking, then drain and dry.
  5. Toss the dried beans with bacon drippings, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Wrap 6-8 green beans in half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  7. Mix brown sugar with 1 tablespoon of water and brush on the bundles.
  8. Roast the bundles in the oven for about 20-22 minutes until bacon is crispy.
  9. Let the bundles rest for a couple of minutes before serving warm.
