Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
- Cube 4 slices of day-old white bread and spread them evenly in the dish.
- Layer slices of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese over the bread.
- Cube and sprinkle remaining slices of bread on top.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients, pressing down gently.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top of the casserole.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
