  • 1 small Onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce or Salsa
For the Taco Assembly
  • 12 pieces Hard Taco Shells
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese mix different types for extra flavor
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Fresh Toppings lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, cilantro
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or Guacamole optional

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. Stand hard taco shells upright in the baking dish.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onions are translucent (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  4. Add minced garlic and taco seasoning to the beef mixture and stir for 1 minute. Add tomato sauce or salsa and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and spoon the beef mixture into each taco shell. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until shells are golden and crispy.
  7. Top with fresh toppings and serve with sour cream or guacamole.
