Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the ground beef with salt and pepper in a large Dutch oven over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully cooked.
  2. Add the pasta sauce and parmesan rind to the browned beef, stirring to combine, and let simmer for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Stir in the spinach, dry pasta, and milk into the simmered sauce mixture and mix thoroughly.
  5. Cover the Dutch oven with its lid and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan or pecorino romano cheese over the top and bake uncovered for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  7. Switch your oven to broil mode and broil for 2-3 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven, let sit for a few minutes before serving.
