Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef Can substitute with ground turkey
  • 3 cloves Garlic Cloves Minced garlic can be used
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Low-sodium option available
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice Pineapple juice can be substituted
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Coconut sugar can be an alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil Olive oil is a possible substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Flour can be used if needed
For Serving
  • 4 cups Cooked Rice Brown rice or cauliflower rice can be used
  • 2 cups Broccoli Green beans or snap peas can be substituted
  • 3 tablespoons Green Onions Chives can be used alternatively
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Omit if unavailable

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add the lean ground beef. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is browned and no longer pink.
  2. Once the beef is browned, add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, toasted sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef, stir well, and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Meanwhile, steam the broccoli for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender and bright green.
  6. To serve, place rice on plates, top with beef mixture, and add steamed broccoli on the side.
  7. Finally, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before enjoying.
