Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted unsalted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs one by one, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until light and fluffy.
  4. Sift together all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then fold into the wet ingredients.
  5. Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared dish, layer with sliced strawberries, and add strawberry preserves on top.
  7. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the strawberries to cover them completely.
