  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls or sandwich rolls or baguettes for a twist
  • 1 pound grilled chicken tenders freshly grilled or pre-cooked
  • 8 slices cooked bacon can swap for turkey bacon
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese smoked gouda is an adventurous alternative
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing any creamy dressing works but ranch is classic
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle chips can try bread and butter or spicy pickles
  • 2 tablespoons butter for toasting the rolls

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise but keep them attached on one side.
  3. Spread a generous layer of butter on the inside of each roll.
  4. Toast the hoagie rolls in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
  5. Grill the chicken tenders for about 3-4 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  6. Place the hot grilled chicken tenders inside the toasted hoagie rolls.
  7. Layer two slices of crispy bacon and a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chicken.
  8. Return the sandwiches to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  9. Drizzle ranch dressing generously over the melted cheese.
  10. Top with crispy dill pickle chips and serve warm.
