Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. Warm the milk to 110°F, sprinkle yeast and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk egg and softened butter, then combine with milk mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, sugar, and salt until a sticky dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
Rising
  1. Transfer dough to oiled bowl, cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour until doubled.
  2. Prepare the filling while dough is rising by mixing pistachio butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Shaping and Baking
  1. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread filling, roll tightly and cut into pieces.
  2. Let rolls rise again for 30-45 minutes until puffy, then bake at 350°F for 23-30 minutes.
  3. Prepare icing while baking by mixing powdered sugar, vanilla, heavy cream, and pistachio butter.
  4. Ice the rolls after baking and let them cool slightly before serving.
