  • 2 tablespoons Butter unsalted preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil can substitute with neutral oil
For the Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic fresh minced preferred
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream can use half-and-half or plant-based cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese can substitute with nutritional yeast or vegan Parmesan
For Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Rosemary fresh preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley fresh preferred
  • to taste Salt adjust to taste
  • to taste Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional for heat
For Garnishing
  • ¼ cup Extra Parmesan optional for topping
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest optional for fresh flavor

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add potato gnocchi and cook until they float, about 2-4 minutes. Remove and drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat. Add drained gnocchi in a single layer and pan-fry for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine, and simmer on low for 3-4 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, rosemary, parsley, salt, and pepper until blended and cheese has melted.
  6. Toss the crispy seared gnocchi in the sauce until uniformly coated. Warm through for about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and red pepper flakes as desired.
