Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let rest for 4 hours.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot, add olive oil and pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Drain pasta and return to pot. Combine hot pasta with the tomato mixture, tossing gently.
  4. Serve in bowls, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and extra basil, and optionally drizzle more olive oil on top.
