  • 1/4 Red Onion Sliced, can substitute yellow onion for milder flavor

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Allow the prepared pizza dough to reach room temperature for 30-45 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough into a 9" x 13" rectangle and place it in a lightly oiled quarter sheet pan.
  4. Cook the hot Italian sausage in a skillet over medium-low heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Prepare the white sauce if making homemade, whisking until smooth and heated through.
  6. Spread the white sauce over the dough, then sprinkle half the shredded mozzarella, followed by the cooked sausage, remaining smoked mozzarella, and sliced red onion.
  7. Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Drizzle with raw honey before serving.
  9. Slice and serve warm.
