Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Allow the prepared pizza dough to reach room temperature for 30-45 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into a 9" x 13" rectangle and place it in a lightly oiled quarter sheet pan.
- Cook the hot Italian sausage in a skillet over medium-low heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
- Prepare the white sauce if making homemade, whisking until smooth and heated through.
- Spread the white sauce over the dough, then sprinkle half the shredded mozzarella, followed by the cooked sausage, remaining smoked mozzarella, and sliced red onion.
- Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- Drizzle with raw honey before serving.
- Slice and serve warm.
