Method
 

Preparation

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and heavy cream, then add to dry ingredients.
  5. Gently fold in strawberries.
  6. Shape dough into an 8-inch circle, cut into 8 wedges, and transfer to prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Bake for approximately 18 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes.
  10. Prepare glaze by whisking together heavy cream, confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  11. Drizzle glaze over warm scones and serve.
