  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary Fresh rosemary is essential for best flavor
  • 1 wedge ruby red grapefruit 1/3 inch thick
  • 1 cup grapefruit juice Fresh-squeezed preferred
  • 1 cup grapefruit-flavored sparkling water Regular sparkling water can be used
  • 1 cup ice Essential for serving chilled

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. On a small plate, mix together granulated sugar, smoked paprika, and kosher salt until thoroughly combined. Moisten the rim of your glass with grapefruit juice, then dip it into the sugar mixture.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, pour in the fresh grapefruit juice and add a sprig of rosemary. Use a muddler to gently bruise the rosemary, then shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
  3. Fill your garnished glass with ice cubes, then carefully pour the grapefruit-flavored sparkling water into the glass until nearly full.
  4. Gently stir the mocktail with a long spoon to combine. Finish with a fresh sprig of rosemary and a grapefruit wedge as garnish.
