Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, large eggs, and vegetable oil. Stir until you create a smooth and thick dough, around 2-3 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into two bowls and add red gel food coloring to one and green to the other. Knead the colors in until vivid.
  3. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the colored dough for about 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Take tablespoon-sized portions of the red and green dough. Roll each into a ball and coat generously in powdered sugar.
  6. Place coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 9-11 minutes until puffy and crinkled.
  7. Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
