Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Pork: Cut the pork shoulder into 1-inch cubes and place in a container.
  2. Mix the Marinade: Whisk together banana ketchup, 7-Up, soy sauce, vinegar, oyster sauce, chili oil, brown sugar, ground pepper, and minced garlic until dissolved.
  3. Marinate the Pork: Pour the marinade over the pork cubes, seal and refrigerate for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  4. Soak Skewers: Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  5. Let It Sit: Remove pork from fridge and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  6. Prepare the Glaze: Mix banana ketchup, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  7. Assembly of Skewers: Thread marinated pork onto soaked skewers, alternating fat and lean pieces.
