  2. In a separate bowl, beat 2 eggs until frothy, then mix in ¾ cup of milk, ¼ cup of melted unsalted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of diced apples, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg into the batter.
