  • 1/2 cup Butter (melted) Drizzle evenly for best results.
For the Caramel Layer
  • 1 cup Caramel Sauce Opt for a thick jarred caramel for best gooey effect.
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Use semisweet or dark for deeper flavor.
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts Pecans and walnuts work well.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking pan.
  2. Spread half of the dry chocolate cake mix across the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Drizzle half of the melted butter over the dry cake mix.
  4. Microwave your caramel sauce for about 20-30 seconds until warm and pourable. Drizzle it over the buttered cake mix.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate cake mix over the caramel layer, then drizzle the remaining melted butter on top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until edges are golden and the center jiggles slightly.
  7. Allow to cool for 15 minutes, then prepare the ganache by heating cream and pouring it over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
  8. Pour the ganache over the cooled cake and allow it to set before slicing.
