Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking pan.
- Spread half of the dry chocolate cake mix across the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Drizzle half of the melted butter over the dry cake mix.
- Microwave your caramel sauce for about 20-30 seconds until warm and pourable. Drizzle it over the buttered cake mix.
- Sprinkle the remaining chocolate cake mix over the caramel layer, then drizzle the remaining melted butter on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until edges are golden and the center jiggles slightly.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes, then prepare the ganache by heating cream and pouring it over chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled cake and allow it to set before slicing.
