  • 2 cups Salmon Flakes fresh or canned
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs or regular breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour gluten-free option available
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper or white pepper
  • 1/2 cup Green Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1/2 cup Red Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1 large Egg or flax/chia egg
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt as substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce optional
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro or parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil for cooking

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Gather all your ingredients and flake the salmon into a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the panko breadcrumbs and all-purpose flour.
  3. Add mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, chopped peppers, cilantro, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and egg to the flaked salmon and mix gently.
  4. Fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients carefully.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Shape the chilled mixture into patties or balls, about 2 inches in diameter.
  7. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the croquettes for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  8. Alternatively, bake the croquettes at 400°F for 20-24 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
