Preparation Steps
- Begin by washing the cucumbers thoroughly under cold water. Slice the cucumbers into bite-sized pieces, about half an inch thick. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Peel off the skin of the red onion and slice it thinly, around an eighth of an inch. Toss the sliced onion into the bowl with the cucumbers.
- Crumble the feta cheese into small pieces and add it to the mixing bowl, mixing it gently with the other ingredients.
- In a small bowl, whisk together extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. Pour the dressing over the cucumber mixture.
- Sprinkle dried oregano, salt, and pepper over the salad. Toss gently to ensure all ingredients are coated.
- Let the salad rest for about five minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
