  • 1 pound Ground Beef or shredded beef
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • ½ cup Tomato Sauce/Salsa homemade salsa preferred
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican Blend
For the Wrapping
  • 10-12 pieces Corn Tortillas warm them for pliability
For Cooking
  • as needed Vegetable Oil/Cooking Spray for frying or baking

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Sauté aromatics by heating vegetable oil in a skillet and cooking chopped onion until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix in tomato sauce and shredded cheese, and remove from heat.
  5. Warm corn tortillas until pliable, then place 2 tablespoons of filling on each and roll tightly.
  6. Cook in hot oil for frying, or bake in a preheated oven until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dips.
