  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef 93/7 or 96/4 fat content works best
  • 1 packet Mild Taco Seasoning Can substitute with spicier blend
  • 1 tbsp Light Brown Sugar
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Make sure it's softened
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Opt for full-fat for best thickness
  • 1/2 cup Salsa Any type works
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Using freshly grated enhances melting quality
For Assembly
  • 8 pieces Fajita-Size Flour Tortillas About 6 inches in diameter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add the lean ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until brown and no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the mild taco seasoning and light brown sugar into the cooked beef, then add cream cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
  4. Mix until everything is well combined and creamy.
  5. Mix in the shredded cheese until melted into the filling.
  6. Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for 30 seconds to make them pliable.
  7. Spoon filling onto each tortilla, roll them tightly, and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  8. Lightly spray tops with cooking spray and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
