Step-by-Step Instructions for Chilis Cajun Chicken Pasta
  1. Prepare Cajun Spice Mix by combining paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and white pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, then sprinkle half of the prepared Cajun spice mix and sauté for about 1 minute.
  3. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the remaining spices, cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown, then remove and let rest.
  4. In the same skillet, bring salted water to a boil and cook penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  5. Lower the heat to medium and sauté minced garlic in residual oil for 1 minute, then add heavy cream and chicken broth.
  6. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens, stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Slice the seared chicken and return it to the skillet, tossing gently to coat.
