  1. In a medium saucepan, combine pitted cherries, sugar or monk fruit sweetener, and water. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the cherries become soft. Once done, strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any solids, and let it cool completely while you gather the other ingredients.
  2. Fill a tall glass with fresh ice, ensuring it fills to the rim for optimal chill. Pour in 2-3 tablespoons of the cooled cherry syrup, watching it create a lovely red layer at the bottom.
  3. In a separate bowl or milk frother, combine vanilla almond milk and almond creamer. Froth the mixture vigorously for about 30 seconds until it becomes light and airy.
  4. Slowly pour the frothed vanilla almond milk over the cherry syrup and ice, allowing the milk to float atop the syrup.
